Salma Makdoumi

Founder And President

A dynamic and passionate woman born on April 10, 1985, originally from Marrakech. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Studies with a specialization in Linguistics from the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences in Marrakech, as well as a Master’s degree in Strategic Marketing from the Private University of Marrakech.

Professional Journey and Career Evolution

My professional journey began in 2008 with Royal Air Maroc, where I worked as a Ground Staff Services.Started at Marrakech-Menara Airport, then at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca from 2011. In 2019, I chose to resign and explore new horizons, a decision that coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic and a difficult period for the tourism industry.

Embracing Growth Through Further Studies

Despite the challenges, I embraced this time as an opportunity for growth. I decided to return to my studies, pursuing a degree in French Law at the Faculty of Legal Economic And Social Sciences in Marrakech, where I am currently in my third year.

Passion for Art, Charity, and Social Initiatives

Beyond my academic and professional path, I wear many hats. I have a deep passion for art, associative work, and charity  channels through which I express my commitment to positive change in Marrakech and across Morocco. This drive led me to found “To the Best” in 2021, a fondation dedicated to women’s rights, legal advocacy, and creative aid.

Activism as a Mission for Community Impact

For me, activism is more than a role it’s a mission. It’s about giving back to my community, strengthening the social fabric of Marrakech, and contributing to a better future for Moroccan society.

A Personal Manifesto: Purpose and Collective Action

This is who I am a woman of purpose, a voice for change, and a believer in the power of collective action.

Empowered Citizenship and Social Advocacy

I am an activist woman who believes in challenges and fieldwork. I am a woman of action, committed to working on the ground. A woman who loves her country and embraces the spirit of citizenship for a better tomorrow for a society that moves forward, for children who deserve a brighter future, and for mindsets that grow and evolve.

The spirit of citizenship runs through my veins, lives in my heart, and drives my actions.

This is why I made the decision to create a charitable, solidarity-driven, and humanitarian fondation  one with clear goals: fighting legal insecurity, combating poverty, promoting development, and raising awareness about citizenship and love for the homeland. It is a platform for social, cultural, and humanitarian advocacy.

Through this fondation, we work not only to support those in need but to inspire a shift in thinking  towards a better, stronger, and more united society.
